The Courses

Stage By Stage (18+)

Ever wondered what it takes to turn a script into a full-blown funny performance? This course takes you through the whole process, step by step (or should we say, stage by stage) from first read-through to opening night. You’ll dig into character, comic timing, and stagecraft as you rehearse and perform a scripted comedy show together as an ensemble. Expect plenty of laughs along the way as you build a piece you can be genuinely proud to take to the stage. For this course just bring enthusiasm and a willingness to give it your all.

Laugh Out Loud (18+)

Fancy making a room full of strangers laugh out loud on purpose? On this fast, funny, and friendly course, our tutors will take you through the essentials of stand-up and improv. From finding your comic voice to thinking on your feet when a scene goes sideways. Expect games, gags, and a fair bit of glorious chaos as you build confidence, sharpen your timing, and learn that the best comedy often comes from the moments you didn't plan! No experience necessary, just a willingness to be a bit silly and see where it takes you.

Screen Test (18+)

Ever wondered how actors make the leap from stage to screen? This course gets you in front of the camera to learn the craft of screen acting from the ground up, working alongside accomplished professional TV and film actors who’ll share the tricks of the trade. You’ll explore how less is often more, how to hit your mark without losing the moment, and what it really takes to bring a scene to life when the camera’s rolling. Expect hands-on filming, honest feedback, and a real taste of life on set.

Giant Leaps (18+)

Ready to get out of your head and into your body? This course explores movement as a powerful tool for storytelling, working with professional movement directors to unlock physicality, presence, and expression on stage. You’ll play with rhythm, space, and ensemble work, discovering how a single gesture can say more than a page of dialogue. Expect plenty of energy, a bit of sweat, and some genuinely giant leaps in confidence along the way.

The Write Stuff (18+)

Do you have a story itching to be told? This course takes you through the craft of writing for the stage, from the first spark of an idea to a script you can actually hear performed. You’ll explore character, dialogue, and dramatic structure, learning how to write for actors’ voices and bodies, not just the page. Expect honest feedback, plenty of scribbling, and the thrill of watching your words come alive in the room.

Flying Colours (14-17)

Got an idea, a group, and no script? Perfect. This course is all about devising, creating a brand new show from scratch with a group of fellow young theatre makers. You’ll generate ideas, build characters, and shape scenes together, discovering that some of the best theatre starts with nothing but imagination and a willingness to try things out. Expect games, collaboration, and a real sense of ownership as you take your show from blank page to performance, coming through with flying colours.

Face The Music (14-17)

Fancy performing in a full musical in just one week? This course throws you straight into the deep end, working with musical theatre professionals to rehearse and stage a production of Mamma Mia!. You’ll work on singing, choreography, and character, pulling together as an ensemble to bring the show to life, songs, dance numbers, ABBA energy and all. Expect long days, big numbers, and the huge buzz of taking a full musical from first rehearsal to final bow.
