Touring Coordinator
​
This role will book and administrate Riding Lights productions and projects, liaising with venues and accommodation hosts working alongside the executive and creative teams to ensure successful delivery of Riding Lights productions and projects.
​
This role will book and administrate Riding Lights tours and projects, liaising with venues and accommodation hosts working alongside the executive and creative teams to ensure successful delivery of Riding Lights productions and projects Directed by the Executive Director, you will be responsible for finding hosts, venues and managing the general administration of Riding Lights productions and projects.
You will work to the company’s ethics and values, as defined by the Board and Executive of Riding Lights and maintain the company’s reputation in a public facing role. You will manage the tour in a cohesive way to achieve marketing, booking and advertising goals. You will work within any defined parameters for external communications set by the Management.
You should have excellent communication skills and organisational ability. Ultimately, you should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish, working as part of a small and busy team in the Riding Lights office aiming to ensure high levels of satisfaction and confidence from venue organisers.
Role

To effectively and efficiently market Riding Lights tours within the given time-scale to potential venues

To communicate clearly and confidently to potential venue organisers

To continue regular communication with venue organisers once the shows are booked, overseeing the organisation of performances and ensuring venues are properly informed and supported

To organise tour schedules that are both coherent and manageable

To maintain contact with members of the touring company before the schedule as appropriate, keeping them informed and responding to any queries

To support the touring company, ensuring prompt delivery of information to them and maintaining good contact during rehearsals and touring

To ensure the prompt generation of publicity for touring venues and to provide support to those venues in promoting their shows

To maintain excellent records and ensure that databases are kept up to date

To collaborate with marketing, box office and digital communications, staff.

To participate fully in the life of the Company and act as an ambassador for all its work.

Where relevant, to work as a team member beyond the confines of the above job description, particularly in respect of all the company’s work
Person Specification
Previous experience of theatre tour management is not required, however a practical understanding of a touring theatre model and a sympathetic attitude to the company’s core beliefs and ethos is essential.

Terms
-
Salary £21,840 pa annual pay review in April.

35 hours per week (£12 p/h).

30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Additional leave between Christmas and New Year.

Role to start ASAP through to Summer 2025, with potential to extend.

We are open to discussion on flexible arrangements, including but not limited to job share, hybrid working and reduced hours pro rata.
