Friargate Theatre
Friargate Theatre is on Lower Friargate in the centre of York. A stones throw from the River Ouse, Clifford's Tower and York Dungeons, Friargate Theatre opened its doors to the public in 2000.

Now a hive of activity with a variety of productions, a rehearsal space and cafe /bar, Friargate Theatre is the "hidden gem" of entertainment and creative hub in York.
HOW TO GET HERE
ON FOOT

We are very close to Clifford's Tower, York Dungeons and The Grand Opera House.

BY CAR
The nearest car parks are Castle Car Park and St George's Field. There are limited 1hr spaces right outside the theatre on Lower Friargate (one way street)

BY BUS
Many bus routes stop on Clifford Street which is the nearest main road to us.
