GREAT SCOTT... It's Members' Day 2025!

Join us for an electrifying day of conversation, worship and performance at the historic Friargate Theatre in York.
Early birds can grab their shades and catch the morning's high-voltage drama workshop. All the cool cats can then grab a coffee and cake at Desmond’s Diner and hang out with friends old and new before finding out what’s cooking at Riding Lights.
There will be lunch, games, eccentric professors and a chance to catch lightning ideas as we move powerfully forward. The day will finish with a new version of an ancient story performed by two RL veterans.

We invite you to jump into our theatrical time machine as we take you on a journey to the past and to catch our vision for the future.

Text Through Time
A fun workshop which will help your acting 'for all time!' Taking scripts from different eras this is a wonderful way to approach different kinds of script using a range of acting techniques. Shake up Shakespeare, Go Wild with Wilde and Play with Pinter in this creative and accessible start to Members' Day 2025.

St Mark's Gospel
‘John Mark’ arrives to relate the extraordinary story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There is joy and sorrow, comedy and pathos as, one after another, the characters in the drama come to life. The story is briskly told using a chair, a table, and the few simple items he carries.
The vivid gospel narrative is underscored throughout by live music.
