FRED DENNO
trained at Webber Douglas and had seasons at the Octagon Theatre, Bolton, and at the Northcott, Exeter, before joining Riding Lights for the first tour of St John’s Gospel. Since then he has appeared for the company in Mistero Buffo, Augustus Carp Esq, Calvary (2006), The Passion, Friendly Fire, On Christmas Night, The Sacred Diary of Adrian Plass, Rolling in the Aisles and Walkout! Parts played have included Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet and Victor Frankenstein in Frankenstein. He has also performed a one-man show, The Story of Job, and directed The Second Coming for Pacific Light in Singapore. He has completed successful tours of The Hiding Place, The Cross and the Switchblade and The Vigil, for Saltmine Theatre Company. Most recently he has worked with Riding Lights on Salaam Bethlehem and last autumn the Living Stones tour..
WALT KISSACK
Walt is originally from Sheffield and trained at the Arden School of Theatre. Since graduating, Walt has played a rich variety of professional roles including, Kevin in A Matter of Time (tour of Staffordshire, including New Vic Theatre) and the lead in a true story depicting the life of a heroin addict (Clean, Brief Candle Theatre). He has recently completed filming a small role in the British feature film, Patient 17, due for release later this year. Walt has worked for Riding Lights several times in the past - Scrub that Manger 2006, Roughshod 2007 and Redemption Song 2008. He is pleased to return to play the role of Jesus.
PAUL LANCASTER
Since touring with Roughshod in 1996, Paul has worked on several other Riding Lights productions including When Worlds Collide, First Hand and Mistero Buffo. Other theatre credits include training for the Blue Man Group in Berlin, The Gruffalo in London’s West End and site specific shows for the National Trust. Film and TV work includes Little Platform, Big Stage (BBC4), Gordon Ramsay Promo (C4), various commercials and online virals. Paul has run workshops on a host of topics all around the UK and in the Netherlands and, in 2007, co-founded The Golden Horde Storytellers creating bespoke performances for schools and public.
RAEWYN LIPPERT
Raewyn trained at the Oxford School of Drama and has performed in both the UK and New Zealand. She returns to Riding Lights having previously performed in productions of Goose Chase & Calvary. Other professional credits include: Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Hever Castle Lakeside Theatre); Louisa in Gradgrind and Penelope in The Odyssey (Icon Theatre); Me & My Monsters (Pop-Up Theatre); Big School (Belgrade Coventry); Cassandra in Trojan Women and Jocasta in Oedipus (Actors of Dionysus); Miranda in The Tempest (Creation Theatre); and Fecund Theatre's award-winning 27. Other theatre includes Closer, the Kiwi comedy Four Cities (both for the Fortune Theatre, NZ); 4.48 Psychosis and several plays for children. Film work includes Lead Soldier in The Nutcracker directed by Christine Edzard; Lucy in Hello You; and several short films. Raewyn has also worked in radio drama for BBC Radio 4.
AMAKA OKAFOR
Since graduating from Liverpool John Moore’s University, Amaka has had the pleasure of working with Riding Lights on The Fun of the Fair and Hope’s Kitchen. Other theatre work includes Sabbat (Dukes Theatre) The Bacchae (National Theatre of Scotland), Branded, Ya Get Me? and Old Vic 24 Hour Plays (Old Vic), Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood and When Brecht Met Stanislavski (Salisbury Playhouse), Tracy Beaker Gets Real (Nottingham Playhouse). Her television credits include The Bill and Doctors.
